Michael Fox is the former editor of NACLA Report on the Americas, a freelance journalist, a translator, a radio reporter, and a documentary filmmaker. He moved to New York City in March 2011, after spending many years in South America. He is co-director of the documentary on the financial crisis and the response from organized communities, Crossing the American Crises: From Collapse to Action (Estreito Meios & PM Press, 2011). He is also co-director of the documentary Beyond Elections: Redefining Democracy in the Americas (Estreito Meios and PM Press, 2008) and co-author of the the book, Venezuela Speaks!: Voices from the Grassroots (PM Press, 2010). He is a former staff reporter for Venezuelanlaysis, a radio correspondent for Free Speech Radio News, and his articles have been published with Yes Magazine, Earth Island Journal, NACLA, The Nation online, In These Times and many more.
